Storm #1 brings over an inch of rain to Menlo Park
It seems storm #1 of the predicted series now through Sunday seems to have passed through, with the rainfall over shortly after noon. I measured 1.2″ in my gauge. That is 4.5″ season- to-date and compares to 2″ same time last year. Many will have likely forgotten that last year we had no rainfall from November 21 thru December 15. Besides some downed trim limbs, today’s storm left behind a sea of fallen leaves, like those obscuring a brick patio in the photo.

Thanks Bill for keeping us up to date on rainfall amounts. Using the palo alto rain gauge or seeing SF rainfall amounts on the news is not a good comparison for menlo. Appreciate your time and effort. I enjoy tracking the storms and the rain we get.
