Yesterday’s cold storm in words – and a photo

We received two reports about the cold front that passed through the area yesterday, bringing not only rain but hail to Menlo Park.

Reports InMenlo weather watcher Bill Russ: “I collected .2″ bringing my season-to-date total to 15.45″. Last year at this point in the calendar the total was 5″.”

And local photographer David Hibbard sent us his “impression of a rainy day”: “This was taken in downtown Menlo yesterday through my car window. The camera was my iPhone. While it cannot match my ‘real’ cameras pixel for pixel, if there is sufficient lighting, the iPhone is perfect for moments like this one. I use it as a kind of electronic visual sketchbook as I go about my day.”
