My brand new rain gauge recorded .6″ of rain in the first storm of the 2013-14 rain year. That’s not bad for September 21 and the eve of the Autumn Equinox. An early start and hopefully a signal of an abundant year!

Soon after peak of downpour I drove past corner of Ravenswood and Middlefield where I observed significant flooding in street. This problem goes back for decades. I guess we’ve decided it’s a feature, not a problem.
