Oak Knoll School parents organize bike safety check

We stopped by Oak Knoll School this morning where three Oak Knoll moms — Katie Behroozi, Annette Lewis (both pictured) and Janet Bellantoni — organized a bike safety check. Explained Katie: “Rainer Zaichelein (pictured far right) from Menlo Velo and staff (Christian Parker) are volunteering to inspect the bikes that kids are riding and making minor tweaks/fixes (e.g. truing a wheel, tightening a brake, straightening out a derailleur).” Also pitching in this morning was Katie’s husband, Cyrus. There are plans for one more inspection on Monday morning.

I wanted to give a shout out to a couple of other regular parent volunteers from Oak Knoll as well, including Jeremy Wire, not pictured because he was probably off-scene pumping up tires.
