Pam Songer launches 45+ Singles’ Trivia night at Freewheel Brewing Company

Debuting this Wednesday night (May 6) at Freewheel Brewing Company in Marsh Manor is 45+ Singles’ Trivia night. Registration starts at 7:00 pm; competition begins at 7:30 pm.

Explains organizer and Menlo Park resident Pam Songer: “What better way to meet your single neighbors than through a fun, competitive game. Try to answer an enfilade of mind-bending trivia questions, as you change partners along the way.”

[First trivia question: An ‘enfilade’ is a fill-in-the blank.]

Pam has been single for the past 13 years but has only recently been starting to dip her toe into the dating pool. “I had three kids, two years apart,” she says, “so I was busy driving kids here and there.”

She also worked at a number of startups, mostly recently as a Creative Director. Now the kids are either away at college or college bound.

“I’m very optimistic about the next chapter of my life,” she says. “And there are a lot of guys out there. But the more other single women I meet, the more I hear about the frustration in meeting eligible guys.”

She’s hoping 45+ Singles Trivia night helps to solve that dilemma and that the combination of award-winning beer and fun atmosphere at Freewheel will help fuel male attendance at the event.

As she started thinking about dating, Pam looked into online dating and joined some Meet Up groups. A trivia night, she figures, is more low key. “The pressure is all off,” she says.
