City of Menlo Park hosts 4th of July parade and celebration

by Contributed Content on July 3, 2015

The parade starts at 11:45 a.m. at the Well Fargo parking lot on Santa Cruz Avenue and Chestnut Street. Come dressed in red, white, and blue and decorate your bike or wagon. Please note, this parade is pedestrian-only and motor vehicles are not permitted.

The celebration is at Burgess Park starting directly after the parade from 12:00-2:30 pm. Activities will include inflatable jump houses, giant slides, games, crafts, face painting, rock walls, and laser tag. Food and drink can be purchased from one of our many community vendors and food trucks.

Enjoy live music performed by the Mustache Harbor, a group of dedicated and talented musicians brought together by their astrological signs and a love for vintage soft rock and sweet stashes.

This event is free to the public, but a $7.00 wristband is required for some activities and can be purchased at the parade or the event.

Note to parents: The festivities at Burgess Park will feature several inflatable jump houses and slides. Parental discretion is advised for all activities. Some activities might have an age restriction, which will be noted by event staff and/or game vendors on the day of the event. Since Fourth of July tends to fall on hot days, we encourage parents to ensure the children wear socks on the inflatable games since they can get rather warm to the touch. In the event of a lost child, please contact event staff or come to the Information Booth located between the Little League Field and the music stage.
