Pizza seller Micaela Tully bids adieu to the Menlo Park Farmers Market

For six years, a familiar face has greeted Menlo Park Farmers Market shoppers at the Chestnut St. end of the market. Those who’ve enjoyed visiting with Micaela Tully while buying their Uncie Ro’s Pizzas should take the opportunity to say goodbye Sunday (Sept. 20), which will be her last market, at least for awhile. Micaela is pregnant, and her baby boy is due in November.
“I hope to be back, but I’m not sure,” she explained.
Besides staffing the pizza booth on Sundays, Michaela is the kitchen manager for Roland Konichke’s Soquel-based food business.
The two met when Michaela had a coffee cart, which happened to be next to Roland’s pizza stand at a Santa Cruz market. “We got to know each other and he offered me a job,” she said.
No worries for fans of the fresh pizzas, calzones and dough sold weekly. They’ll still be packed up and brought over the hill — with a new face greeting buyers September 27.
