Early morning downpour in Menlo Park brings almost half an inch of rain

Reports InMenlo weather watcher Bill Russ: “It started raining about 4:00 am, depositing .4″ in my gauges. My season-to-date total is 2.15″. A year ago we were stuck about one inch.”
By 9:00 am, skies were clearing, and the wind was picking up. The result: lots of leaves in puddles.
