What started around dawn became unrelenting rain for a couple of hours.
InMenlo weather watcher Dennis Nugent’s digital gauge recorded 0.88″ bringing the season to date to 32.91″.
And his manual gauge was nearly full up!

For anyone wanting to track rainfall in their yard and nearby, joining the CoCoRaHS network is a fun way to do it. You enroll, buy and set up a specific rain gauge, and then check it daily or as often as you can and quickly enter the data on the app. https://www.cocorahs.org/ This winter has, as you can imagine, been very enlightening. Over the 24 hrs. ending 8 am on Sunday, my gauge in N. Fair Oaks got 1.41″.
