Second rainfall of the year is as wimpy as the first
Rain year 2023-24 began on October 1, and today marked the second precipitation — a measly 0.01″, according to InMenlo weather watcher Dennis Nugent’s digital gauge. It was more like an all day mist that kept streets damp and washed the dust off vegetation like these grapevines in Woodside.
The first rain of the season fell on October 6; it, too, was just 0.01″. The year-to-date total is 0.02″.

Good headline and nicely peevish copy. Thought I was reading The Onion.
