Predicted rain fizzles today in Menlo Park

by Linda Hubbard on February 26, 2024

The forecasters got one thing right today: rain would start at noon. And down it came.

But the predicted rain fizzled the rest of the afternoon, at least here in the relatively flat land. The clouds over Windy Hill were dark and foreboding.

InMenlo weather watcher Dennis Nugent’s gauges recorded o.o2″ as of 2:30 pm, for a February total of 5.02″ and a season-to-date of 16.25″. Update: there was another 0.01″, bringing monthly total to 5.03″ and season-to-date to 16.26″.

Photographed this oak reflected in a puddle on a walk this afternoon. Think it’s kind of artsy.
