Menlo Park student wins the 2024 RethinkWaste Trash to Art contest
RethinkWaste held its annual Trash to Art contest in March to encourage third to fifth-graders to create art pieces from materials they collect around their homes or schools.
A Menlo Park student from Laurel Elementary Upper Campus School won first place in the 2024 Trash to Art contest.
Congratulations to Ananya M. (pictured with City Council members) for creating an inspirational artwork called “Monterey Bay Habitat!”
All submitted art needed to be 90% composed of recyclable or trash materials.
