Rain doesn’t measure up to much in Menlo Park

by Linda Hubbard on January 3, 2025

The rain forecast to start at 9:00 am did arrive almost on time at 9:15 am. But instead of steadily raining throughout the morning, it just sputtered along.

As of 1:00 pm, InMenlo weather watcher Dennis Nugent’s digital gauge registered ) 0.09, less than a tenth of an inch. That brought the year to date 6.65″.

Blue sky interspersed with clouds is the view outside currently.

Interesting difference as my rain gauge in Sharon Heights showed a full inch yesterday and several periods of steady rain. Mine showed .13″; 3.8″; and 7.38″ for Oct, Nov, Dec so more than last fall but less than fall 2022. And now 12.38″ so far this rain year. Thanks, Linda!
