Dr. Allan Mishra underscores the importance of vitality

by Linda Hubbard on February 13, 2025

Menlo Medical Clinic orthopedic surgeon Dr. Allan Mishra may be best known for what he enjoys doing — “getting people back to what they love doing.”

“Maybe they had a ski injury,” he says. “My job is to get them back on the slopes.”

But more important, he wants them to do so with vitality.

“It’s now woven into my practice,” he says. “In order to live your most vital life, you need to optimize your muscular skeletal system. You can do that through walking.

“It’s also important to be connected to something bigger than yourself. Utilize your talent to help other people. You can bet on yourself and be the hero of own journey.

“Vitality is a gift that I can’t give you. Vitality is a gift that you give yourself.”

Supporting his effort are Vitality Explorers which currently counts 600 subscribers. They are a community of like-minded individuals who share ideas on how to optimize living.

“My goal is to optimize people’s vitality one person at a time,” Allan says.

Even if you’re not a patient of his, he offers tools to get you started. You can read his book Dare To Be Vital: Your Blueprint For A Vibrant Life. And you can learn more about Vitality Explorers online.
