Speakers include:
Kirsten Andrews-Schwind is Associate Director of Community Relations and Climate Equity at Peninsula Clean Energy, where she has worked for eight years. She brings 18 years of experience in climate change and energy policy. Kirsten grew up in the Santa Cruz Mountains near unincorporated San Mateo County and is familiar with the energy challenges of living in the woods.
Steve Schmidt is Founder and COO of Home Energy Analytics, the first company hired by PG&E to provide a new type of “pay for performance” residential energy efficiency program. There are many good reasons to electrify our homes, including health benefits from better indoor air quality and elimination of green house gas emissions that cause climate warming.
Modern electrical appliances are efficient (e.g., heat pumps can be 400% efficient), affordable (especially right now when rebates are aiming to kick-start demand), and comfortable.
We have not regretted getting rid of methane in our house.
