Organ recital by Rani Fischer at St. Bede’s on May 8 & 9

There will be an organ recital given by Rani Fischer at St. Bede’s Episcopal Church (2650 Sand Hill Road) on Thursday & Friday, May 8 & 9, 7:00 to 8:30 pm both days.

Rani will play on the von Beckerath pipe organ built in Hamburg. Attendees will hear:

• Toccata in d minor, BuxWV 155 by Dieterich Buxtehude (1637-1707)
• Susanna Vung Jour, Susanne van Soldt Manuscript by Orlando di Lasso (1532-1594)?
• Intermezzo by Amy Summers (1996 – )
• Prelude & Fugue in a minor, BWV 543 by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750)
• Kyrie, Gott heiliger Geist, BWV 671 by J.S. Bach
• Drop, drop Slow Tears by Vincent Persichetti (1915-1987)
• Ave Maris Stella, from Livre d’Orgue by Nicolas de Grigny (1672-1703)
• Go Down Moses by Fela Sowande (1905-1987)

Free to all, and there will be a reception both nights.
