Efforts to save downtown Menlo Park parking lots continue — ballot measure may be next

Menlo Park resident Rich Rollins attended the meeting yesterday where Save Downtown Menlo proponents submitted a notice of intent to collect signatures on a ballot measure requiring a vote on changes to any downtown parking lots.
He emailed: “Great turnout today!
“Thank you all for spreading the word and showing the community spirit in our Initiative Launch !

“Thanks Alex [Beltramo] ever so much for pulling it all together!”

If we don’t want new housing in single family zones or on public parking lots or the USGS site which is not zoned for housing just exactly where do we want new housing?
Or is our life boat full and anyone left swimming is just out of luck?
