Enjoy the music and style of capoeira on July 12

On Saturday, July 12, 2025  from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, come to the Belle Haven Library (100 Terminal Ave.) to enjoy the music and style of capoeira.

The Afro-Brazilian art of capoeira blends martial arts, dance, and acrobatics. Enjoy a demonstration by the team from United Capoeira Association Hayward.

We’ll get an introduction to the history of capoeira, and we’ll get to see and hear the typical musical instruments that are played.

This free event received funding support from the Friends of the Menlo Park Library.
