Race Swami provides swimming activities for Belle Haven kids

We recently talked to Matt Finegan who is Executive Director of Race Swami, a Belle Haven youth program providing swimming and enrichment opportunities for local kids under the direction of head coach Naji Ali (pictured).

“We started with six kids and have grown to 25 now,” Matt said. “Our costs are subsidized by grants from various foundations.

“It’s all about the joy of racing combined with fun and family.”

The Race Swami Belle Haven program emphasizes excellence in academics as well as athletics and supports swimmers and parents in the achievement of high academic standards. This includes free tutoring, reading and writing workshops, and campus visits to local colleges and universities.
