Here’s a story to brighten your day, told by Dorothy Fadiman

by Linda Hubbard on February 11, 2026

We received this email from Menlo Park resident — and documentary filmmaker — Dorothy Fadiman, (pictured) who we’ve profiled a number of times over the years on InMenlo:

“Last night at 9:00 pm there was a loud knock on our front door. We opened it to find a woman in rain gear (it was raining) with something in her hand.

“It was a card case with my driver’s license and credit card. I had left it at Little Sky Bakery in the late afternoon. The owner and baker, Tian Mayimin, had driven to our home with it because she was concerned I’d be worried.

“I was amazed, deeply grateful — and moved.”

Shout out to Tian!
