Assembly member Marc Berman (D-Menlo Park) has named the Children’s Health Council (CHC) as the 23rd Assembly District’s Nonprofit of the Year in recognition of the organization’s exceptional  work supporting young people across the Peninsula.

“Children’s Health Council has been a literal lifesaver for young people and their families in my district and beyond, providing mental health services, expert led learning programs, and more,” said Assembly member Berman. “It is a terribly difficult time to be a young person, especially growing up in Silicon Valley. CHC provides critical services, guidance, and compassion to youth, and their families, who are struggling and find themselves in need of additional help. I am honored to recognize CHC for the support they provide to young people and their families.”

“We are deeply honored to be recognized alongside so many incredible nonprofit organizations across California that are making a meaningful difference in their communities, said Ryan Eisenberg, CEO at Children’s Health Council.

“We are especially grateful to Assemblymember Marc Berman for his longstanding partnership and unwavering support of CHC and the families we serve. This recognition reflects our commitment to advancing youth mental health and supporting children and teens with learning differences through accessible care, free resources, and financial assistance for families who need it most,”

Based in Palo Alto, CHC is committed to ensuring that no one faces a crisis alone, providing life-changing resources to all community members, regardless of language, location or ability to pay.
