How to help local baby Mica on his path to 2026 Baby of the Year

“Our five-month-old son, Mica, is participating in the national 2026 Baby of the Year competition, and he has made it much further than we ever expected.
“Mica is currently ranked sixth in his group. He is in a good position to reach the upcoming Top 10, but the field will then narrow to five — and ultimately only the first-place baby in each group advances to the quarterfinals. We’re hoping the Menlo Park community might help its very small local contender continue his unexpectedly successful run.
“The competition supports Baby2Baby, which provides essential items to children living in poverty. The winning family receives $25,000, and the winning baby will appear in a national advertising campaign with The Honest Company and be celebrated in Variety.”
Supporters can cast one free vote for Mica every 24 hours.
Voting for the Top 10 ends Thursday September 24 at 7:00 PDT.

I’m disappointed that this is a “news” article in InMenlo. My nephew is also “6th in his group”. I have serious questions about the validity of these “Best of” contests. They have them for other categories too.
