youth mental health issues

Young Minds Advocacy Project is hosting an event on September 18, 2015, at the Arrillaga Family Center in Menlo Park to celebrate efforts to change the way we think about, talk about, and create change in youth mental health.

Founded by long-time Menlo Park resident and public interest attorney Patrick Gardner, Young Minds Advocacy Project is a non-profit organization working to change attitudes and break down barriers to quality mental healthcare for young people and their families.

The event will gather community members, elected officials, and business people for discourse on youth mental health needs. Food and drinks are being donated by Café Zoe, and there will be music by Los Trancolizers and a silent auction to support advocacy for youth in our community and throughout California.

The event, sponsored by the Thrive Foundation for Youth, is open to the public from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Tickets are available online and will be sold at the door for a suggested donation of $25. All donations are tax deductible.
