Watercolor by Beverly Balanis wins best in show at Menlo Art League exhibit

The Menlo Art League held its 38th annual jured show and exhibit at the Menlo Park Library. The judge for the show was Gerald Boyd , a prominent Peninsula artist. Winner of “best in show” was October Reflections, a watercolor by Beverly Balanis (pictured).
Other first place winners include Bayland Winter, an oil painting by Alice Weil; The Interview, a watercolor by Berni Jahnke; and Gold Dust Canyon, a mixed media piece by Joyce B. Leopardo.
The Menlo Art League has been an active art association for over 35 years. The organization holds meetings the 2nd Wednesday of each month, 7:30pm, at the Arillaga Recreation Center in Menlo Park.
