Tokyo Subway owners say “farewell” this Christmas Eve

by Linda Hubbard on December 24, 2014

After three decades in Menlo Park, Toshio and Sakiko Akabori are closing Tokyo Subway after lunch today and looking forward to retirement. “We truly appreciate you letting us serve you with our chicken teriyakis, miso ramen, dragon rolls, and our handmade gyoza,” they wrote on a flyer posted on the tiny restaurant’s front door. “Thank you for the 30 years of support from the bottom of our hearts! Please feel free to contact us at TokyoSubway605@ gmail.com.”

Just Curious; is this the location that was Straver’s Donut Shop that Dick and Tina Straver owned many, many years ago. If it is, I am sorry that we never came in here to try out the TokyoSubway fare.
