James Fadiman and Jordan Gruber co-author book on microdosing

It was almost 14 years ago that we met long time Menlo Park resident James Fadiman who had just published a book The Psychedelic Explorer’s Guide: Safe, Therapeutic, and Sacred Journeys, which he described at the time as “written for guides, not a guide to psychedelics.”
Now he has a follow up book, co-authored by friend and neighbor Jordan Gruber, Microdosing for Health, Healing and Enhanced Performance.
In it they describe microdosing as a safe and powerful approach to a wide range of health conditions and enhanced performance.
The co-authors will be at Kepler’s on Tuesday, February 18, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Buy tickets in advance.
This is James and Jordan’s second book together. The first was Your Symphony of Selves: Discover and Understand More of Who We Are, released in 2020.
“Microdoses are completely different than full doses,” says Jordan.
Adds James: “Think of it as a vitamin rather than a pharmaceutical. You take is the same way you exercise, get a good night’s sleep, and follow a good diet. It’s also helpful for mental illness and ADHD.
“We have lots of stories of people with details about their experiences in the book. We have all the science that there is — which is less than our critics would like.”
Jordan noted that there is still a societal-wide stigma.
“There has probably been 10,000 years of psychedelic usage,” notes James. “That little bit of peyote cactus was a micro dose.”
