Run Club Menlo Park wins Junior Olympics races — advances to Nationals

Run Club Menlo Park had a good day at Golden Gate Park for the Pacific Region Junior Olympic Championships and Nationals Qualifier.

The Girls 8 & Unders and Girls 9-10’s teams both won Junior Olympic Regional Championships and advance to the Junior Olympic National Cross-Country Championships in Shelbyville, Indiana on December 13th.

The Boys 9-10’s team defeated last year’s defending USA Nationals Championship team, Mount Diablo Heat, winning the meet championship by 1 point (36-37 – low score wins in cross-country) to also advance.

Including individual qualifiers, Run Club advanced 32 runners in all to the Indiana championship race.! Good luck to our Menlo Park runners! Last year they were warming up at 8:00 am in 28 degrees and this year’s forecast is for 14 degrees!
