It’s a rainy end of the year — and start of a new one!

InMenlo weather watcher Dennis Nugent’s digital weather gauge has been busy recording the amount of precipitation that last couple of days.

On Wednesday, December 31, there was 0.73″. That was followed today, January 1, 2026 by 0.63″ [as of 2.30pm], bringing the season-to-date to 10.61″.

The season-to-date, which runs October 1 to September 30, was 6.65″ at the end of 2024.

Huge shout out to Robin Tobias who continues to provide great weather photos, usually taken while walking her dog Mathilda, like the one with today’s post.
