Spotted: Big blooming cactus in Menlo Park

We came upon the really impressive sight of a cactus in full bloom while walking on Middle Avenue this morning.  It’s on the left side as you’re heading east about halfway between Olive and University. Check it out — the iPhone photo doesn’t do it justice!

Sculpture takes its place amidst the gardens and grounds of Filoli this summer

There’s a special group of visitors at Filoli this summer — a variety of sculptures by local artists scattered amidst the gardens, courtyards, terraces, and fields.
