Each year, we try to spotlight some of the great merchants offering a plethora of holiday gifts right here in Menlo Park. And thanks to long-standing, InMenlo contributing photographers, Irene Searles and Scott R. Kline, we’ve been able to profile many of these merchants – and showcase their wares – over the years.
We do so again today. When clicking on the links, do note the date of original publication. If the store is listed here, it is still in business, although what they are offering this season may be different than in the past.

The Australian import Blue Illusion features French-inspired fashion for women along with shoes and accessories.
There’s still a jewelry store in Menlo Park thanks to Ceci Wong.
Already a hometown favorite, Cheeky Monkey was honored as retailer of year by the toy association.
Regular customers have come to expect personal attention at Lisa Taggert and Jim Gother’s Fleet Feet (pictured above). Plus, there’s the great training groups they organize.

An interest in amber led Diana Ferrari to open contemporary clothing store Graciana.
While primarily a destination for home furnishings and design advice, Blair Morgan’s HOME store also has gifts such as vases.
Kepler’s (right) has been the place to buy books in Menlo Park for over 50 years.
In addition to women’s clothing, Lee Murphy’s store, Kicks, also has a wide selection of accessories.
Beth Philbin’s Heart on Your Wrist offers personalized jewelry in the Willows.
Menlo Hardwood is more than furniture. Check out their lovely wooden serving platters.
Bikes and their accessories on your gift list? Rainer Zaechelein (pictured top) at Menlo Velo will steer you in the right direction.
Raised in Menlo Park, local residents Carrie and Colin Jenkin’s Occasions (second from top) store is the place for personalized gifts.
It was Palo Alto’s loss and Menlo Park’s gain when Shady Lane moved to the Sharon Heights shopping center.
Lynn Macy, who also grew up in Menlo Park, has been offering kind words for pets and their owners for over 20 years at The Pet Place, a shop that’s always stocked with great gifts for furry friends.
